Do I need to be a competitive tennis player to participate?
Whether you are a weekend warrior, or play competitive tennis for a league or your club, all levels are welcome at Approach events, but bring your “A” game in order to battle against the best in the world.
What is the format at the event? How much tennis will we be playing against the pros? Will it be singles or doubles?
The format at Approach events continually changes, however we guarantee you will be playing against the pros for at least an hour and twenty minutes during every event. With a combination of singles points, doubles points, serve and return contests, and a tournament against the pros to finish the day, guests will have the tennis experience of a life timeto share with friends and family. Following the on-court experience, guests and celebrities will have the chance to get to know one another at an intimate cocktail reception with dinner to follow.
Will I get to play against every tennis pro?
While we can’t guarantee you will be on the court with all of the pros, we will guarantee that you will be able to test your skills against the majority of them. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to mingle and interact with all of the pros at the cocktail reception and dinner.
What is the dress code for an Approach event?
While proper tennis attire is required for guests that are participating in on court activities, some of the venues where we host our events at around the world have specific guidelines. For the London event in June, the Roehampton Club, requires an “all whites” dress code, where 80% of the tennis clothing is required to be white. Non tennis playing guests who will be joining for drinks and dinner, are NOT required to wear tennis clothing. Business casual attire will be sufficient.
Will I have a chance for autographs from the players?
Autographs requests are welcome.
May I bring a personal camera?
All photography is welcome. In addition, we will have multiple photographers and videographers capturing the day’s festivities and we will be sending out pictures and videos to all guests.

Is there an inclement weather plan?
Not to fear, rain or shine, guests will enjoy tennis against the best. Approach worked Roehampton Club with the LTA to secure a beautiful indoor facility and all participants and dinner attendees will be transported over to the facility in case of inclement weather.
Do I need to bring a racket?
Please bring your own racket to the event. Approach does NOT provide rackets for their guests.
